EXPLORING THE EXTRAORDINARY
100 YEARS OF BENTLEY MOTORS
Continuing its alliance with two of the world’s most prestigious car clubs, the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club (RREC) & the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club (RROC), LOCO Design was delighted to be an official patron of Bentley 100 Celebration 2019. The centenary celebration launched a new publication entitled Exploring the Extraordinary: 100 Years of Bentley Motors, curated and produced by leading publisher St James’s House.
To commemorate this special occasion, LOCO Design was commissioned by St James’s House to design a memento to celebrate the vision and journey of Bentley.
The 3L Shatranj chess set is inspired by the original Bentley 3-Litre and was launched at the Bentley 100 Celebration in London 2019. The design pays homage to the engineering brilliance and innovation of W.O.Bentley and his team. The 3-Litre model represents W.O.Bentley’s original vision of ‘a fast car, a good car, the best in its class’.
“What better way to launch this wonderful book than with a celebration of the finer things in life? We are all very excited about what promises to be an event to remember.”
Richard Freed, CEO of St James’s House
