In celebration of its tenth anniversary, London Design Fair selected India as its first annual guest country pavilion, which saw ten Indian designers and brands spanning product, textile and furniture design showcase their work. This is India was co-curated by London Design Fair founder and director, Jimmy MacDonald, alongside Tipoi’s founder, Spandana Gopal.

Supported by e-commerce retailer, Indelust, the pavilion was designed to showcase a “renewed but intimate perspective on established and emerging design practices from India”.

Responding to a dynamic curatorial note, Taamaa designed a vertical installation inspired by the minimal Hexa tealight. Symbolising the brand’s vision of bringing a crafted aesthtic to contemporary design, the installation uses a machined geometry as a backdrop, punctured by an enlarged handcrafted hexagonal form.
